01 Per Hour Add'l Salary Info Compensation is based on Classified Salary Schedule and related years of experience Length of Work Year 10 Months/182 Days Employment Type Part Time Job Summary Job Summary Under the supervision of the Director of Student Services or a designee, the Behavior Intervention Instructional Aide provides individualized applied behavioral and instructional support to students with emotional disorders, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, behavior disorders, and other special education and related educational and behavioral needs. The aide assists teachers and staff in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), reinforces academic and behavioral instruction in one-on-one or small-group settings, collects and maintains behavioral data, and supports students' social, emotional, and academic development. Provides guidance, modeling, and support to classroom staff in implementing behavior intervention strategies and reinforcing instruction, while also performing clerical and other supportive tasks for certificated personnel. Qualifications Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and one of the following:
- Completion of at least 48 semester units of college coursework
- An Associate's degree (or higher)
- Passage of the CBEST or a local proficiency assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics
- College-level coursework in child development, psychology, special education, or a related field is preferred.
At least one (1) year of experience working with school-aged children in a paid or volunteer capacity is required; Experience working with students with behavioral or special needs is preferred. Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and supporting individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Fluency in Mandarin is desirable.
Credential/Certification:
Possession of, or be enrolled in training to obtain, a current first aid and CPR certificate. Copy of Transcript Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation Resume Requirements /
