Child's World Preschool is a non-profit, faith-based early childhood education program in Irvine, CA. We offer a Reggio-inspired, play-based curriculum emphasizing social-emotional development, fostering creativity, and hands-on learning. In partnership with the University United Methodist Church, we serve the Irvine community through our part-time preschool program.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our lead teachers in implementing the Reggio-inspired approach to early childhood education. This position requires a minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) core subjects and at least one year of experience working with young children.

Responsibilities:

Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum Support the creation of a nurturing and inviting environment that promotes exploration, creativity, and learning Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues Assist in observing, documenting, and assessing children's progress and development Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe school environment Assist our outdoor classroom teacher with setup, cleanup, and maintaining the yard. Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities

Qualifications:

Minimum of 12 ECE core units At least one year of experience working with young children Familiarity with or willingness to learn the Reggio-inspired approach to early childhood education Knowledge of child development principles and practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment A commitment to professional growth and development
