Program Assistant

Sunflower Hill is a vibrant nonprofit organization dedicated to creating places and spaces where individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) can live, work, learn and thrive. At our one-acre organic garden at Hagemann Ranch in Livermore, Sunflower Hill delivers enrichment programs and community-based activities that foster life skills, social connection, and personal growth. The garden serves as a communal gathering location for adult day programs and high school I/DD transition classes. Staff, program participants and community volunteers also work collaboratively to harvest and donate approximately 5000 pounds of fresh produce, eggs and flowers on an annual basis. We are now seeking a creative and committed Program Assistant to facilitate experiential activities and programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys engaging with the public and students, is knowledgeable about educational approaches and hands-on activities, enjoys farm, garden tasks and working outdoors. This is a part-time (6-8 hours week), seasonal position (March through November). Must be available on Thursdays. Please see f ull job description for more details and to apply.
