Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference every day by supporting students as a dedicated paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment near Long Beach, CA. This contract position offers you the chance to contribute to students' educational journeys, working closely with teachers and specialists to enhance classroom learning and create a positive influence.
Ideal Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar classroom support role Familiarity with school settings and the ability to adapt to varying classroom needs Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with students, teachers, and staff Patience, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset Flexibility to work with diverse student populations, including those with special needs Ability to follow direction and carry out individualized education programs (IEPs) as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management Support students in both group and one-on-one settings, reinforcing lessons and providing encouragement Help implement learning interventions and accommodations under teacher guidance Aid students with classroom tasks, organization, and assignments Foster a respectful, inclusive, and positive environment for all students Monitor student progress and communicate insights to classroom teachers as appropriate
