We support students in school, home, and center-based environments throughout Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, including services at our modern, state-of-the-art facility. Position:
Behavior Therapist / 1 on 1 Student Aide CARS is seeking caring, motivated, and dependable Behavior Therapists for full-time positions. In this role, you will work one on one with a student diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental differences in school and home settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact while gaining hands-on experience using proven, evidence-based strategies during the school day. Location K to 12 schools in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, no more than 15 miles from your home. Schedule Schedule is based on the assigned school. Elementary Schools Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM Middle Schools Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM High Schools Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Key Responsibilities Provide consistent one on one support to a designated student. Implement individualized, evidence-based behavior programs in school and home settings. Work closely with teachers, supervisors, and clinical staff as part of a collaborative team. Collect and record data on student progress. Support positive behavior, communication, and learning skills. Qualifications High school diploma required. Experience working with children in schools, one on one settings, or community programs is preferred. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well on a team and willingness to learn and grow professionally.
