Job Description

St. Elisabeth School, a vibrant and faith-filled Catholic school community located in Van Nuys, is seeking a dedicated and hard-working part-time Teacher's Assistant for our 1st and 2nd grade classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for an energetic and flexible individual who enjoys working with young children and supporting student learning. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing instructional support, working with small groups, assisting the classroom teacher, and helping maintain a positive and engaging learning environment. Requirements BA degree in education or related field. Prior experience in education preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. All applicants should be energetic, well-versed in the Catholic faith, a team player, comfortable with the integration of technology and instruction. Working with students individually and in small groups to reinforce skills. Supporting classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment. Supervising students during designated times as assigned. Collaborating with teachers and staff to support student growth and success. Performing other duties as assigned by the administration. Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
