Preschool Teacher Assistant

Oak Center Little People Academy is a beautiful, growing preschool program located in the heart of West Oakland. We are part of the Little People Academies family, serving our community with love and care since 2016. Our team has remained strong and supportive through the challenges of COVID and beyond, and we are proud to offer a nurturing and joyful environment for both children and staff. We're currently looking for a flexible, energetic, and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support our toddler classroom. We're Looking For Someone Who Is:

A team player with a kind and positive attitude Experienced in working with toddlers (18 months-3 years old) Comfortable taking initiative and collaborating with lead teachers Creative, patient, and committed to play-based learning Open to feedback and growth

Minimum Requirements:

At least 6 ECE Core Units and 3 units in Infant/Toddler or Preschool Development (or equivalent coursework) 1 year of experience working with children ages 18 months to 5 years Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and classroom routines Availability to work full-time

Additional Requirements Once Hired:

Cleared Live Scan with FBI and DOJ Negative TB Test Proof of Measles and Pertussis vaccinations Current CPR and First Aid certification

Compensation:
