Previous experience working with children is preferred.Skills:
- Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Ability to relate to children in a positive, but firm, manner.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with children and adults.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to document progress, growth and areas of need.
Knowledge and Understanding:
- Stages of children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
- Basic childcare health and safety knowledge.
Other:
- Strong work ethic, honest, and punctual.
- CPR Training (when hired).
- Additional behavioral training as appropriate (provided by site when hired).
