Minimum Requirements (Required to Begin Work, Not to Apply): Applicants must be willing to meet the following prior to starting: SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) training Infant/Child CPR & First Aid Certification Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention Training Current negative TB test Up-to-date immunizations (including
COVID-19
) Fingerprint clearance via TrustLine or DOJ/FBI LiveScan Pass a physical fitness assessment: Lift and carry up to 40 lbs Push/pull up to 60 lbs (including strollers on inclines) Comfortable with daily outdoor walks and nature exploration
What We're Looking For:
What We're Looking For We're seeking a caring, thoughtful early childhood educator who enjoys working closely with infants and toddlers in a warm, supportive environment. The ideal candidate brings patience, curiosity, and a hands-on approach to helping young children learn and grow. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience working with mixed-age infant and toddler groups Experience or training in Reggio Emilia or Waldorf-inspired education preferred Spanish-speaking required , as Spanish is part of our daily learning environment About the Role As an Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting children's daily routines and early learning experiences from arrival through pickup. You'll help create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel secure and encouraged to explore.
Your day will include:
Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities Supporting smooth daily transitions and routines Preparing and serving meals and bottles Assisting with diapering and hygiene routines Encouraging independence through gentle guidance and consistent structure Our Approach to Learning We follow an emergent, child-centered philosophy inspired by Reggio Emilia principles. Rather than rigid lesson plans, we focus on learning through curiosity and exploration. In this role, you will: Observe children's interests and help shape meaningful learning experiences Support learning through play, nature, materials, books, music, and conversation Encourage problem-solving, collaboration, and independence Help children feel confident as active participants in their environment Work Environment This is a physically active role that requires attentiveness, teamwork, and a genuine love of working with young children. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment is essential to our program.
