Do you have experience in related fields working with young children? Are you happy, engaging responsible, and energetic? Our preschool is currently seeking candidates that we can call upon to help out in the classrooms as needed. Early Childhood Teacher's Assistant/Floater (2 positions available) 2 & 3 year old classrooms $15-$16per hour Monday - Friday, 9am-4:30pm (30 minute lunch) Position available Now.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
The Floater must have ability, physically and mentally, to: Lead and participate in active sports and games with children Work with teachers to assist in all classroom functions Respond to critical incidents and act swiftly in an emergency situation Adequately observe participants' activities and enforce safety regulations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Minimum 18 years of age Must be a high school graduate or equivalent Must pass livescan fingerprint clearance Must by TB tested and cleared by physician to work with children Must have received the MMR and TDAP vaccines and can provide proof. Must be able to work any shifts as assigned based on program needs. Willing to take ECE courses or work towards a CDA Permit is a plus. Higher pay for those who already have ECE units. Experience working with 2 & 3 year old children Preferred qualifications: Have 12 core units in ECE (1. Child Development, 2. Child, Family and Community, 3. Curriculum, 4. Principles and Practices) Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification AA or BA degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education or related At least 1+ years of experience working with young children Familiar with Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) and NAEYC Fully vaccinated for

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Support the mission of the preschool. Must be friendly, team player and able to work in a collaborative environment Under the direction of Preschool Director or Lead Teacher, the Floater will assist the teachers by working collaboratively to best meets the needs of the individual child in regards to cultural, age and developmental skills Must be organized and professional and complete assigned tasks on time Assist by providing input on individual assessments of children in order to individualize curriculum Establish rapport with parents and participate in parent education/events Assist in submitting any reports and updating log book within the day of the relevant event Assists with and participate in recreational activities on and off site.
