This role involves providing personalized assistance, fostering independence, and promoting social and life skills. Candidates with ABA experience are encouraged to apply as well, as this background enhances the ability to create meaningful and effective support plans. The position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals' lives while gaining valuable experience in the field of developmental support. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one or small group support to adults with developmental disabilities, assisting with daily activities and skill development Facilitate participation in recreational, educational, and community activities tailored to individual needs Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with team members and family members Monitor and document progress, behavior, and achievements to ensure continuous improvement Promote independence by encouraging individuals to perform tasks independently whenever possible Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for clients at all times Collaborate with other staff members to ensure consistent and effective support strategies Skills Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach toward adults with developmental disabilities Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members Ability to adapt support strategies based on individual needs and circumstances Prior experience or familiarity with ABA is also encouraged to apply to enhance program development and support techniques Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or client needs while maintaining professionalism This role offers an enriching experience for individuals passionate about supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
