Assistant Teacher (San Diego) Heartbeat Music & Performing Arts Academy San Diego, CA Job Details Full-time $21 - $22 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification First aid First Aid Certification Full Job Description Position Summary Provides instructional and operational support within the classroom by assisting with daily activities, routines, and supervision to maintain a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Minimum Requirements (Title 5-Aligned / HBMPAA Requirements) Qualification level appropriate to assigned duties, typically a Child Development Assistant Permit or equivalent, as required by the program. Current CPR/First Aid certification and Mandated Reporter training, as required.
Infant/Toddler Assignment Requirement:
Must possess a minimum of 3 semester units of Infant/Toddler coursework when assigned to Infant/Toddler classrooms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supports classroom activities, including learning centers, readalouds, art projects, and outdoor play, under the direction of the classroom teacher. Assists with active supervision to ensure child safety at all times. Prepares instructional materials and supports classroom organization, cleaning, and sanitation routines. Assists with meals and snacks, toileting and diapering (as applicable), and transitions in accordance with program policies. Completes documentation tasks as assigned, such as checklists and anecdotal notes.
