Job Summary Job Summary The San Luis Coastal Unified School District is seeking two Band Instructional Assistants at San Luis Obispo High School. This is a part-time position, approximately 5 hours per week. Work hours may be during, before, or after the school day, dependent on the program assigned. Band Instructional Assistants provide specialized instructional support in the Band Program at the secondary level by delivering instrument-specific or section-specific coaching, performance guidance, and technical instruction to individual students and small groups. Band Instructional Assistants assist the Band Director by teaching skills, techniques, and performance practices that require specialized musical expertise and by supporting cohesive ensemble performance across approximately fourteen instrument families, percussion, visual marching, and/or color guard.
