Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the classroom by supporting student growth and success as a paraprofessional. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or supporting classroom instruction is preferred Familiarity with special education needs and individualized education plans (IEPs) is a plus Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with students and faculty Patience, empathy, and adaptability in responding to student needs A collaborative approach, working effectively with a multidisciplinary team High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or relevant certifications advantageous
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group instructional support under the direction of licensed teaching staff Assist in the implementation of lesson plans and classroom activities Support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs in achieving their educational goals Encourage positive social interactions and inclusive participation Aid in monitoring classroom behavior and maintaining a safe, respectful setting Help with daily classroom routines, organization, and preparation of learning materials Document student progress and communicate effectively with teachers regarding student needs This contract position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in students' educational journeys.
