Afternoon Classroom Support Aide (Spanish Immersion Preschool) San Mateo, CA Job Details Part-time $22 - $26 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Some college Spanish Teamwork Sanitizing surfaces Cleaning Preschool experience Entry level Early Childhood Education Full Job Description Mi Second Casa Spanish Immersion Preschool - San Mateo Monday-Friday | 3:00-5:00 PM (10 hrs/week) $22-26/hour depending on experience Mi Second Casa is a play-based Spanish immersion preschool serving infants through preschool-aged children in a warm, collaborative environment with small classroom ratios. We are seeking a dependable Afternoon Classroom Support Aide to help prepare classrooms for the following day and support teachers during afternoon transitions. Because our program operates in a full Spanish immersion environment , staff communicate with children in Spanish throughout the school day. This role is ideal for candidates interested in gaining experience in early childhood education while working in a bilingual learning setting. Responsibilities This role primarily supports classroom preparation and end-of-day routines, including: Resetting classrooms after daily activities Preparing materials for the next school day Supporting teachers during afternoon transitions Assisting with playground transitions as needed Organizing classroom materials and supplies Light classroom cleaning and sanitizing Supporting end-of-day classroom routines across age groups This position supports teachers across classrooms and is not a primary supervision role. Required Qualifications (California Licensing Requirements) Candidates must be able to complete the following requirements for employment in a licensed childcare center: Ability to communicate with children in Spanish in a classroom setting (program operates in full Spanish immersion) Live Scan fingerprint clearance through California Community Care Licensing Background clearance with no disqualifying offenses TB clearance (within the last 12 months) Proof of immunizations: MMR Tdap Influenza (or signed declination form) Mandated Reporter Training certification (may be completed after hire) Eligibility to work in the United States Reliable availability Monday-Friday from 3:00-5:00 PM We guide selected candidates through the clearance process if needed. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Experience working with children ages 0-5 Prior preschool or childcare experience Spanish fluency or strong conversational comfort with children Interest in early childhood education careers Currently enrolled in Early Childhood Education coursework Growth Opportunities Additional substitute hours may be available. This role is designed as a strong pathway into: expanded classroom aide hours substitute teaching opportunities future teacher-track positions as enrollment grows Ideal for students at Skyline College or Cañada College exploring careers in early childhood education.

$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
