MUST BE RELIABLE, RESPONSIBLE, AND HAVE A STRONG SENSE OF TIME AND COMMITMENT
Experience Minimum of one year of full-time experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting. Demonstrated ability to plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities. Experience working with diverse learners and supporting individual learning styles. Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education best practices. Ability to independently design, adapt, and implement curriculum that supports social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to partner effectively with children, families, and colleagues. Organizational skills for documenting student development, preparing lesson plans, and maintaining classroom environment. Responsibilities Plan, implement, and evaluate daily curriculum that promotes whole child development. Assess and document each child's progress; share updates with families and conduct parent-teacher conferences. Support children in daily routines, including potty training and self-care skills, as needed. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to maintain a nurturing and professional school culture. Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and Shu Academy's policies. Maintain classroom setup, organization, and basic cleanliness. Personal Qualities Must be reliable and understand the importance of working as a team member Passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to helping each child reach their full potential. Flexible, patient, and able to adapt to changing classroom needs. A team player who is also comfortable taking initiative and working independently. All levels must speak fluent English at a teaching level with excellent communication skills.
