Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract If you're passionate about supporting students and making a difference in educational settings, this opportunity is tailor-made for you! Multiple paraprofessional roles are available for the 2025-2026 school year, with openings throughout the peninsula region, including Hillsborough, Colma, Daly City, San Bruno, San Mateo, and surrounding areas. These contract positions are set in an encouraging school environment, working up to 30 hours weekly from August 11, 2025, through May 29, 2026.
Key Qualifications:
Associate's degree or higher required Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation Must reside within the San Mateo/San Francisco Bay Area (candidates from East Bay or South Bay will not be considered)
Preferred:
minimum of 2 years of recent school-based paraprofessional experience Experience in data collection, behavioral support, and background in Safety Care training a plus
Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated support at a single school site Accurately collect student data under direction from behavior supervisors or special education teachers Exhibit professionalism, calmness, and flexibility while engaging with students, colleagues, and supervisors Demonstrate outstanding attendance and reliability Assist specialists in preparing students for school, supporting pre-academic tasks, and facilitating meaningful social interactions during group activities and recess In this role, you'll help students thrive academically and socially while growing your professional experience in a supportive, collaborative community.
