Tutor individual or small groups of deaf and hard of hearing students and other Special Education students as assigned according to prescribed learning objectives, reinforcing instruction as directed by the teacher; monitor and oversee student drills, practices and assignments in various subjects; assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans and behavior management plans.Areas of Specialization:
Skills and expertise in troubleshooting hearing aids, cochlear devices, and FM systems. Candidate will support students with hearing loss with instruction support and device trouble shooting.Qualifications:
Candidate must meet the requirements of the Federal and State examinations by passing proficiency exams for reading, writing and instructional support. Qualifications or any combination equivalent to 48 semester units of college study or AA Degree or upon passing a qualifying written examination, and experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students in an organized setting.
