Assistant Center Director/Lead Math Instructor

About Mathnasium Mathnasium is the leading math-only learning center for students in grades K-12. We help students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and develop a love for learning through personalized instruction and a positive learning environment. We are looking for a motivated and dependable Assistant Center Director to support operations across two Santa Clarita locations. This is a hybrid leadership role that combines instruction, customer service, sales support, and daily center operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with students and families, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is interested in growing into a leadership role within education. What You'll Do Educational Responsibilities Teach and work directly with students in grades K-12 Support the educational quality and student experience across both centers Assist with student assessments and learning plans Sales & Customer Service Responsibilities Communicate with currently enrolled families and prospective leads Support sales calls, enrollment conversations, and parent meetings Support center performance by helping achieve enrollment and revenue goals Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current families Help address customer concerns professionally and positively Leadership & Operational Responsibilities Help manage daily center operations across two locations Assist with scheduling, training, and administrative tasks Help maintain a positive, energetic, and accountable team culture Support creating a productive and professional learning environment What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Enjoys working with children and families Has strong math skills through at least Algebra 1 Is outgoing, confident, and personable Is comfortable with sales conversations and customer communication Can multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Demonstrates leadership potential and accountability Is reliable, professional, and proactive Wants to grow within leadership Qualifications Strong basic math proficiency required Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, education, childcare, sales, customer service, or leadership preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable leading parent conversations and enrollment meetings Ability to balance instructional and operational responsibilities Must be available weekday afternoons/evenings and Saturdays Schedule Approximately 32 hours per week Monday through Thursday 12pm-7pm and Saturdays 12-3pm Hours shared between two nearby Santa Clarita Mathnasium locations Compensation & Growth $20/hour Leadership development opportunities Advancement potential within Mathnasium Meaningful and rewarding work environment Opportunity to make a direct impact on students, families, and business growth Why This Role Is Unique This is much more than a tutoring position.
