Job Description
We have an opening for an assistant teacher to join our amazing team at Little Acorns Montessori. We are seeking a warm and caring individual to join our team, assisting children 6 months through 5 years old to gain social and emotional skills, and independence, and assisting teachers to prepare the learning environment. This position requires no specific education or experience. It does require criminal background clearance and hired candidates will be asked to attend a Montessori overview course. The successful candidate will show self initiative, respect for children and co-workers, and a strong work ethic. They will have demonstrated a focus on early childhood development through schooling or child-related work history. In this industry, timeliness and dependability are absolutely required. We have a part time position available. The role will be that of a floater in all areas of the school. This is a fantastic, entry level opportunity for a candidate interested in starting a career in high quality early childhood education. We are very supportive of career development and training.
