Length of Work Year 184 Employment Type Full Time Job Summary Job Summary Special Education Instructional Assistants might work directly with special education students or with other students to facilitate the teacher's attention to the special education student. In the case of a special education assignment, the instructional assistant may receive direction and support from a classroom teacher, educational specialist, or both as appropriate.
