POSITION
) Thousand Oaks, CA 91360 $18.54 - $29.86 an hour - Part-time $18.54 - $29.86 an hour - Part-time Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Two-Year-Old Lead and Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The position is for a mixed lead teacher Mon, Weds., & Fri. and an assistant Tues. & Thurs. Hours are 8:00am to 12:30 pm , Monday-Friday. This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the developmental journey of toddlers through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that foster curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth. As a lead teacher, you will create a nurturing environment that promotes early learning skills, including literacy, math, and physical development, all while ensuring the safety and welfare of every child. This position emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and a commitment to excellence in early childhood education. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to two-year-olds. Facilitate engaging daily activities that promote toddler care, social skills, behavior management, and classroom management techniques. Monitor and document each child's progress through observations, assessments, and standardized testing when appropriate; communicate findings with families and team members. Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment that supports childhood development milestones while integrating Montessori principles or other educational philosophies as applicable. Manage classroom routines efficiently to ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization in accordance with childcare regulations and best practices. Engage with children individually and in groups to foster communication skills, emotional regulation, and social interaction; support children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services. Minimum Requirements A minimum of 24 ECE Units/Teacher permit. # core ECE courses required. 1 Year classroom teaching experience in ECE. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including toddler care, classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development stages.
Pay:
$18.54 - $29.86 per hour
