We are a unique child-led play based co-op preschool program in Turlock. In this vital role, you will support lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans, managing classroom activities, and fostering positive social and emotional development. Your energy and compassion will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow in their foundational years. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while developing your skills in early childhood education. We are looking for a teacher who is available Wednesday-Friday mornings, 8:45-1:15 (flexible if needed.) Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and executing daily lesson plans that promote creativity, social-emotional learning, and overall development Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and independence Help facilitate behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and emotional regulation Support classroom routines such as snack time, outdoor activities, and transitions between activities with patience and consistency Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to early childhood development Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings Knowledge of early childhood education principles including Play-Based and Child led. Our school draws inspirations from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and outdoor/forest school philosophies. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues Understanding of childhood development milestones and special education needs Certification or coursework in early childhood education is required. Min 12 units (1) Twelve postsecondary semester or equivalent quarter units in early childhood education or child development completed, with passing grades, at an accredited or approved college or university; and at least six months of work experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program. (A) The units specified in (c)(1) above shall include courses that cover the general areas of child growth and development, or human growth and development; child, family and community, or child and family; and program/curriculum. California Child Development Permit or eligibility preferred Valid Pediatric First Aide/CPR Certificate or ability to complete At least 1 year of experience working in a licensed daycare facility / preschool recommended.
