What You'll Do:
Provide direct academic, behavioral, and social support to students, both 1:1 and in small groups Follow directions from teachers and school staff to ensure effective student engagement and participation Assist students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and personal care as needed Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs when required Help with student supervision, mobility, and maintaining a respectful, inclusive environment Support a safe and encouraging classroom atmosphere for all
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or GED Minimum age of 18 Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as required TB test per district guidelines Current clearances or willingness to obtain them before starting
Preferred Experience:
Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT protocols a plus Reliability, patience, and a collaborative, team-focused approach
