Job Description
Company Overview Mountain Shadows Montessori School has been a leader in early childhood education since 1976, offering the only internationally accredited Montessori curriculum in the region. Our dedicated team creates nurturing, developmentally appropriate environments that foster independence, creativity, and critical thinking for children from 12 months to 12 years old. Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Assistant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support classroom teachers in providing a warm, engaging, and safe environment for our youngest learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture curiosity and promote positive developmental experiences for toddlers aged 12 months to 3 years. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing Montessori-based activities tailored to toddlers' developmental needs Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and rest times Engage children in age-appropriate play and learning activities that promote exploration and skill development Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment with appropriate materials and toys Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and interests to inform teaching strategies Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and social interactions among children Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times Qualifications Prior experience working with toddlers or in early childhood education settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques CO Assistant Teacher qualifications Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a nurturing environment Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining flexibility in a dynamic setting Join us at Mountain Shadows Montessori School where your passion for early childhood education can make a meaningful difference!
