Full Job Description Job Overview:
Smarty Pie Childcare is a Licensed Large Family Childcare Home (www.smartypiechildcare.com). We are seeking a caring and dedicated Part-time Teacher to join our team. Must be reliable and love working with children. We have wonderful families and a positive and supportive work environment. Shifts are scheduled between 8:00AM-4:30PM M-F. We follow D11 calendar and closures during the school year, open summers with 1-2 weeks off. Successful background check and pre-training is required before start of employment. background checks can take 4 weeks or more to be processed.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement engaging lesson plans from the provided curriculum
  • Provide compassionate physical care for children 0-5years
  • Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a conducive learning atmosphere
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to enhance growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development
  • communicate with children, families and team members in a positive, caring and professional manner.
Experience:
  • Previous experience/training in teaching or working with children and/or education in a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies
  • Familiarity with curriculum implementation
  • Understanding of child welfare and early intervention practices
