Elementary Administration Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally? University Schools is seeking a dependable, caring, and student-centered Part-Time Instructional Assistant to join our elementary team for the 2026–2027 school year. This position provides the opportunity to work closely with one assigned kindergarten or first-grade classroom teacher while building meaningful relationships with students in a collaborative and supportive school environment. The Opportunity The Part-Time Kindergarten/First Grade Instructional Assistant will support one assigned elementary classroom, either kindergarten or first grade, and work directly with the classroom teacher and administration to support student learning and classroom operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children, supporting academic growth, and contributing to a positive classroom environment.

Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay Range:

$20.28 – $34.47 per hour Final compensation is determined based on qualifications and experience in alignment with the University Schools Classified Salary Schedule. This position is not eligible for traditional employee benefits such as health insurance or paid leave. How You'll Make a Difference Provide instructional and classroom support within one assigned kindergarten or first-grade classroom Support classroom instruction and daily routines under the direction of the classroom teacher and administration Assist students individually, in small groups, or occasionally in whole-group settings Reinforce foundational academic skills including reading, language arts, mathematics, and computer instruction Support classroom behavioral management to maintain a safe, productive, and positive learning environment Encourage student independence, socialization, and self-esteem development Assist with classroom preparation, organization, paperwork, and documentation Monitor students during recess, lunch, transitions, field trips, and other assigned duties Support academic interventions through the MTSS process and progress-monitoring tools Collaborate professionally with teachers, staff, students, and families Perform other duties as assigned Please see the full job description for specific responsibilities and position details. Who We Are Looking For Education & Experience High School Diploma required Associate's Degree preferred Experience working with school-age children preferred Requirements Successful completion of a background check Colorado Department of Education Substitute Authorization Professional Learning (First Year) Training may include: READ Act Certification Building a Caring Community Co-Teaching Classroom Management Whole Child (Behavioral Health Support) Additional training as assigned Working Conditions This role includes frequent interaction with students and active classroom support responsibilities, including standing, walking, assisting students, supervising activities, and moving throughout the school environment during the workday.
