Full Job Description Job Description:
Foothills Christian Preschool is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Preschool Assistant Teacher to assist in a classroom of 3-year-old children. The Assistant Teacher works alongside the Lead Teacher to support the educational, social, emotional, and physical development of children ages 3-4. This role helps maintain a positive classroom environment, assists with daily activities and routines, and ensures the safety and well-being of all students. Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities Supervise and engage children during circle time, play, learning centers, outdoor activities, and snack Support children's social, emotional, and behavioral development using positive guidance techniques Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Assist with toileting, handwashing, snack preparation, and other daily care routines Observe and report children's progress, behaviors, and concerns to the Lead Teacher Encourage language development, creativity, and independence through play-based learning Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff Follow all preschool policies, health regulations, and safety procedures Attend staff meetings and training as required Our preschool is a warm, faith-filled place where little ones learn, play, and grow in God's love.
