Job Description
• This is a Full Time Position from August - End of May • Inspire students. Empower communities. Build your resume. Work with Scoot Education as an Elementary Paraprofessional! Why Scoot? Get support from your dedicated Scoot Education Consultant who matches you to school assignments to align with your skills, experiences, and interests. Access 1:1 check-ins to discuss school feedback, general questions, training opportunities, and career planning. Many of our consultants have previous teaching experience and will share best practices and offer practical advice. They are just a phone call away for any questions or concerns.

High school diploma or equivalent plus an Associate Degree, 48 college semester credits, or ParaPro PRAXIS/WorkKeys For those who do not meet the above, Westminster Public Schools offers an alternative path through district-sponsored classes and assessment Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions Bilingual desired Experience and/or skills working with culturally diverse populations desiredYou'll Stand Out If You Have:
Experience working with children in early childhood settings, ages 4-10 Worked with children who have Special Education needs Experience working in K-12 schools Spent time in Special Education settings or have any SpEd-specific training ABA experience (Applied Behavior Analysis)What You'll Do:
Collaborates and communicates with parents, students, and faculty Supports and assists Elementary classroom and Title I Teachers in preparation for classroom activities Supports teacher in the delivery of the instructional program Works with small groups of students and/or language classes throughout the day focusing on literacy skills Works with a team of professionals meeting the diverse needs of kindergarten-5th grade students Participates in opportunities to develop knowledge and skills that support assignments Maintains all necessary documents within areas of responsibility Performs all other duties as assignedWhat You'll Need:
