Position Overview:
Eprine Community Services, located in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is actively seeking a dedicated Asssistant Supervisor for our Day Habilitation Program. The role entails managerial responsibilities to ensure program operations comply with state and federal regulations, as well as adhere to our agency's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop daily activity schedules aligned with participants' goals as outlined in their Individualized Plans (IP) on both a weekly and monthly basis. Uphold the principles of the person-centered model for participants. Conduct daily reviews of documentation and field visits. Provide ongoing hands-on activity training to program staff. Monitor and document participants' arrival and departure times. Develop and oversee various clubs and group activities. Coordinate and execute special events for program participants. Facilitate community integration opportunities for participants. Ensure adequate supplies are maintained for program activities and model room operations. Act as a Team Leader for community integration initiatives. Supervise Habilitation Specialists in their daily activity execution. Maintain accurate documentation of service implementation. Provide staffing coverage in cases of staff absence or vacation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Minimum of one year of experience in a relevant field.
Preferred:
Two years of work experience with the intellectual and developmental disabilities population. Ability to serve as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) for the program.
Job Type:
Full-time Schedule:
Monday to Friday, including some holidays.
Hours:
7 AM to 3 PM.
Salary:
$45,000 per year
