Responsibilities:
The Glastonbury-East Hartford Elementary Magnet School is seeking 1 full time associate instructor to work as a reading and math instructor in providing small group intervention. The successful candidate will work under the direction of instructional coaches and administration to provide in-class group instruction as well as assessment support. This position is also one that is utility in function as it supports our school overall: including lunch/recess duties and substituting when necessary.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess a Bachelors degree, CT certification is preferred. Experience working with elementary age students and the ability to work with others and communicate effectively (both orally and in writing). Knowledge of reading and math intervention programming is a plus. Skills in Microsoft word, excel, and student information systems is a plus. Hiring in accordance to CREC Para/AI union contract parameters, including salary schedule.
