07/03/2026 The Capitol Region Education Council is seeking a highly qualified paraeducator at the STRIVE Program located along the shoreline in Clinton, CT. STRIVE program hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.to 2:30 p.m. It is preferred that the successful candidate have at least two years of experience working with secondary students (aged 18-22) with disabilities, in addition to two years of college credits, or a passing score on the ParaPro. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to support the delivery of specialized instruction and behavior management with a population of young adults. Essential Job Functions Duties include guiding students to reinforce , instruct, and develop vocational and life skills. Job coaching /facilitating learning in the local community is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain an Operator's License with an Activity A Endorsement. The applicant should be capable of supporting a personalized, direct, one-to-one educational experience. The program runs on a school calendar and includes a five-week, half-day summer program . The successful candidate must be willing to work the school year and the summer program
