Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students' educational journeys as a dedicated paraprofessional near Hartford, CT. Key Qualifications:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a similar school-based support role Ability to establish rapport with students and build positive relationships Flexible, reliable, and adaptable to meet students' varied needs Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a passion for education Willingness to take direction and collaborate with teachers and other specialists Capable of maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in a school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct classroom support to students, individually or in small groups, as guided by educators Foster an encouraging and inclusive environment, helping students stay engaged and on task Assist teachers with implementing lesson plans and modifying materials as needed Monitor student behavior, providing redirection and positive reinforcement where appropriate Support students with special needs, academic challenges, or behavioral concerns Contribute to a positive, safe, and productive classroom atmosphere Help maintain a clean and organized learning space If you are ready to take on a meaningful contract role and play a vital part in students' daily successes, we want to hear from you.
