Job Description

Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Classics The Classics Program at Connecticut College invites applications for a one-year, full-time position as Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Classics for the 2026-2027 academic year. Candidates should be prepared to teach Greek and Latin language courses at all undergraduate levels, as well as a 38-student course on Classical Mythology (in English) which contributes to our general education curriculum, "Connections." The position will begin on July 1, 2026. Preference will be given to candidates who will have a Ph.D. in Classics completed by the time of appointment; ABD or Masters in Classics is required. The teaching load is 3-3. Review of applications will begin on April 27, 2026, and continue until the position is filled.
