Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Take pride in making a difference every day by supporting students who thrive with compassionate guidance and encouragement. This full-time contract position is designed for an experienced individual eager to work as a Behavior Technician within a dynamic educational environment near West Hartford, CT. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with students, particularly those on the Autism spectrum and those facing behavioral challenges, fostering growth and learning in a supportive space. You'll provide both one-on-one support and small group or classroom assistance to help students succeed academically and socially.
Qualifications & Experience:
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or paraprofessional background preferred A minimum of 2 years of behavior intervention or special education experience Strong communication and teamwork skills Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to different learning and behavioral needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-on-one and group support to students in classroom settings Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff on behavior and academic goals Implement behavior intervention strategies and track student progress Foster an inclusive, nurturing atmosphere for optimal student development Expect a competitive hourly pay ranging from $18 to $24, along with access to insurance and 401k benefits—supporting your wellness as you support others.
