Job Description

As part of our mission to pave the way for children's success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking two part-time Paraprofessionals to provide on-on-one, in-person services to Middle School Charter students. This position is a one month summer contract for their ESY program (extended school year).
Paraprofessional Position Details:
Position 1: Support a 6th-grade student who is bilingual in Spanish and English. A Spanish-speaking paraprofessional is preferred but not required. Position 2: Support an 8th-grade student.

PM Paraprofessional/ Dedicated Aide Qualifications:
Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain) Experience working with children in an educational setting Experience operating a Hoyer lift
Paraprofessional/ Dedicated Aide Essential Attributes :
Adapt classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the teacher for the purpose of providing an opportunity for students with disabilities or special needs to participate in classroom activities. Implement academic instruction taught by a teacher for individuals or small groups for the purpose of meeting learning goals, as described by an IEP and/or district benchmarks. Implement behavioral plans designed by IEP team for students with behavior disorders or other special conditions; document progress. Participate, as appropriate, in communication between school and home per a student's IEP. Confer with teachers on a regular basis for the purpose of assisting in evaluating the progress of students with disabilities or special needs and/or implementing IEP objectives.
