Job Description

We are a small business that is currently growing quickly. Looking to hire a full-time program aide. Since we are a small business no benefits at this time. M-F 8am-4:30pm Program Aide Job Description Our goal is to have a qualified adult day "Program Aide" to aid our day-to-day operations, while establishing and sustaining a positive environment for clients and staff. The Program Aide preforms a variety of duties related to client services. The Program Aide will assist the activities manager in preparing materials for activities and implements the scheduled actives with an enthusiastic, engaging, and fun attitude. The Program Aide performs direct care: toileting, feeding, grooming, ambulation, transfer, etc., as determined by care plan. The Program Aides prepare and distribute meals and snacks and assist in clean up. The Program Aide reports to the appropriate departments, nursing services are reported to the nurse and programing services are reported to the Activities Manager. The Center Director oversees all departments and has an open-door policy. The Program Aide will work to provide the highest quality of care to the clients. The Program Aide should display a friendly demeanor and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for both clients and staff. The Program Aide should have strong leadership skills, experience with dementia and or persons with disabilities. Qualifications
  • A nurse aide (CNA); or possession of one year of experience in a healthcare setting; or enrollment in a nursing program and completion of a medical surgical clinical practicum.
  • All aids must pass a competency evaluation test prior to provide in unsupervised care clients.
  • Proficient to carry out the care assigned in a safe effective and efficient manner.
  • Prior experience working with persons with dementia or disabilities.
  • Able to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to complete electronic onboarding on Carecenta.
  • Successful results of background check and any additional state specific regulatory requirements. Job Responsibilities
  • Working with other staff members as required when implementing and caring out services and activities and meeting the needs of individual clients.
  • Assisting with transportation or escorting clients to, from, and within the center, as needed.
  • Completion of an orientation/training program which meets the requirements contained within state regulations.
  • Provide supervision and assistance in activities of daily living, such as feeding, toileting, showering, and other tasks assigned by the Activities Manager.
  • Treat clients with respect, kindness, and patience; helping to maintain clients' dignity.
  • Work with team to ensure safety of clients at all times.
  • Interact with clients in a professional and positive manner.
  • Assist with activities and projects at the request of the Activities Manager.
  • Prepare and distribute meals and snacks and assist in clean up.
  • Maintains a safe and clean environment.
  • Comply with Title III, CACFP, and Medicaid programs.
  • Comply with company policies procedures, safety and regulatory laws and standards.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as changed or assigned at any time.
