Itinerant Autism Support Teacher Responsibilities:
Collaborate with classroom teachers on specific teaching strategies following principals of Applied Behavior Analysis Provide direct services to students, focusing on areas like academic skills, communication, social skills, and behavioral support Able to work as a team member coordinating activities and curriculum Implements instructional strategies that align with the students IEP and are developed following ABA Supports generalization of skills across multiple environments Proficient in data collection and analysis of to drive instruction Provide social skills instruction Demonstrates knowledge of adaptations, modifications, and accommodations for students with Autism to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Utilize positive behavior support strategies to support the social-emotional development of students who exhibit behavioral challenges. Adapts curriculum and plans activities to accommodate children with Autism Willing to travel to provide educational services to students across multiple schools Organize, maintain and communicate a weekly schedule Provide professional development to buildings supporting on instructional strategies for students with Autism Support development of IEP and specially designed instruction
Qualifications:
Must hold or be eligible for State of Delaware Certification in Autism & Severe Disabilities Ability to collaborate with staff and administrators Experience working with students with Autism Required Certificate(s):
Delaware Advanced License Delaware Continuing License Delaware Initial License To Apply:
