ASSISTANT TEACHER

Job Description Assistant Teachers at Gulf Stream School, Delray Beach Campus report directly to their lead teacher and to the Managing Director and Pre-Primary Coordinator at the Gulf Stream Campus as and when necessary. Assistant Teachers are expected to be at school 8:00 am-4:30pm Monday-Friday while school is in session.

Responsibilities:

Show up to work daily on time Help meet every child's needs: emotional, social, physical, and academic Assist in documenting children's learning, growth, and development Help to create and maintain student portfolio that would reflect children's growth, learning and development Monitor children to ensure their safety Interact with children kindly and respectfully Help model how to positively handle frustrations, excitement and other emotions Participate in monthly division meetings, weekly planning, School related events and meetings prior to the School year begins and ends. Maintain a clean and organized learning environment Assist students with potty training and develop self-discipline and a sense of responsibility for all students Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

Degree in childhood education preferred Complete all DCF paperwork and pass DCF and VECHS background check 45 hours of DCF certification classes
