Full Job Description Elementary School Teacher Duties:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and educational standards
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote a productive learning environment
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and administrators
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs
  • Utilize learning technology to enhance instruction and engage students
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs
  • Foster a love of learning and promote critical thinking skills in students
  • Organize and supervise classroom activities, field trips, and special events
Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Strong knowledge of subject matter and ability to effectively teach it to students of various learning levels
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children in a childcare or educational setting
  • Proficient in classroom management techniques to create a positive and structured learning environment
  • Ability to provide individualized instruction and tutoring to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Familiarity with learning technology tools and their integration into the classroom
  • Knowledge of special education principles and strategies for supporting students with special needs
  • Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, assessment, and record keeping
Elementary School Teacher Assistant Duties:
The Elementary School Teacher Assistant supports the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment for students.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with lesson preparation, supervising classroom activities. Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, and helping manage classroom behavior. Supports administrative tasks such as grading, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean classroom. Strong communication, patience, and a passion for working with children are essential. Prior experience in an educational setting or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with elementary school students in an educational setting
