This exciting role offers a dynamic environment where you will support young children's growth and development, fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom setting. As an integral part of our team, you will gain hands-on experience in early childhood education while making a meaningful difference in children's lives. This paid position is designed to help aspiring educators build essential skills in childcare, classroom management, and child development, all while working towards your CDA certification. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning through play and structured activities Support children's emotional, social, and physical needs by providing attentive care and positive behavior guidance Help create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration Engage with children during activities such as reading stories, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and educational games Support classroom management by maintaining routines, supervising children closely, and encouraging positive interactions among peers Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other caregiving duties to ensure children's comfort and well-being Collaborate with team members to monitor children's progress and communicate observations to lead teachers or parents as needed Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for those new to the field Familiarity with childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is advantageous Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR certifications is a plus; willingness to obtain these certifications if not already held Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided to support inclusive caregiving Strong classroom experience demonstrating patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills in engaging with young children This role offers an incredible opportunity to grow professionally while earning your CDA credential—an essential step toward a rewarding career in early childhood education.
