Job Description
Mater Academy Charter Middle/High School, an "A"-rated, college-preparatory public charter school in Miami-Dade County, is seeking dynamic, innovative, and knowledgeable Math and Reading Paraprofessionals to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. Paraprofessionals play a vital role in supporting student achievement by working closely with teachers, providing instructional assistance, facilitating small-group interventions, and helping create a positive learning environment for students in grades 6-12. Qualifications Minimum of 60 college credits completed (required) Associate's Degree or higher preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Exceptional organizational and time-management skills Detail-oriented and dependable Ability to work effectively with students in grades 6-12 Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, interventionists, and grade-level teams Previous experience working with students preferred Key Responsibilities Assist teachers with instructional support and classroom management Provide small-group and individualized intervention in Math or Reading/ELA Support students in developing academic skills and achieving learning goals Assist with the implementation of instructional strategies and activities Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers Help maintain a positive, structured, and student-centered learning environment Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success Perform other instructional support duties as assigned Why Join Mater Academy Charter Middle/High School?
