Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Assistant Teacher! In this dynamic role, you will support classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and assist lead teachers in delivering engaging lessons that promote early childhood development. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and overall curriculum development Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and guiding children through daily routines Engage children in activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and early childhood development Help with classroom organization, including setting up learning centers and preparing educational materials Work closely with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring an inclusive learning environment Monitor individual progress and communicate observations to the lead teacher for tailored instruction Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols at all times Skills Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages Experience with lesson planning across subjects such as literacy education, math, and behavior management Knowledge of special education strategies and working with children with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, children, and parents Classroom experience in daycare or preschool settings, including private schools or Montessori environments Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering a supportive atmosphere Familiarity with curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children and toddler care Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with diverse needs using compassionate teaching methods This role is perfect for passionate educators eager to grow their career in early childhood education.
