MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(Includes, but is not limited to the following) Collaborate with classroom teachers to support instructional goals Prepare and organize lesson materials, displays, and classroom resources Support instruction through small group and one-on-one student assistance Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and during field trips Reinforce learning by tutoring students and reviewing assignments Distribute, collect, and help track classroom materials, tests, and homework Assist with grading, attendance, and maintaining student records Support classroom management by reinforcing school rules and expectations Monitor and support student safety during all school activities Help organize student work displays and learning materials Assist with special programs, including students with diverse learning needs Support teachers during conferences, meetings, and school events Use technology and equipment to support instruction and learning activities Assist with library duties, transportation loading/unloading, and school events as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:

Child development and age-appropriate learning strategies Effective instructional and communication methods Working collaboratively with staff, students, and families Ability to: Follow written and verbal instructions accurately Communicate effectively with students and staff Work with diverse student populations in a supportive manner Stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a school setting Use basic technology and office equipment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Experience in a school or childcare setting is preferred but not required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

School-based setting with regular interaction with students and staff

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires regular movement throughout the school day, including standing, walking, and assisting students.
