Assistant Teachers provide support to the Lead Teachers and help create a loving, safe, and engaging Christian learning environment for young children and infants. Our ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, and passionate about early childhood education. Key Responsibilities Support daily lesson plans and classroom routines Supervise and care for children in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate way Maintain a clean, organized, interactive classroom Clean and sanitize toys, equipment, and shared spaces Conduct daily health checks and assist with developmental evaluations Communicate with parents about children's needs and progress (under Lead Teacher guidance) Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events Contribute to overall center operations Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Prior experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or educational setting preferred Completion of DCF 45-hour training (or willingness to complete) Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
