Job Description
Job Overview Join our dedicated early childhood education team as an Assistant VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Teacher! In this vibrant role, you will support the development and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate curricula that foster early literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and physical development. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a nurturing classroom environment where young learners thrive. Duties Assist in developing and executing dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori and other pedagogical approaches Support classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and a respectful learning environment Engage children in activities that enhance literacy, math, physical education, and social skills while encouraging curiosity and independence Collaborate with lead teachers to monitor student progress through assessments and standardized testing preparations Provide attentive child care, ensuring safety, comfort, and emotional well-being for all children Implement behavior management techniques to address individual needs and promote inclusive classroom participation Contribute to curriculum development tailored for preschoolers and children with special education needs or requiring early intervention support Requirements Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom experience with early childhood education programs Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom management techniques Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, and teaching physical education activities Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative environment Experience working with students requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; Montessori or Toddler care experience is a plus Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, classroom setup, and maintaining child welfare standards Join us in shaping young minds through engaging lessons and compassionate care!
