The ideal candidate will be nurturing, dependable, and committed to supporting student learning in a faith-filled environment. The Teaching Assistant will work closely with the classroom teacher to foster academic growth, promote positive student behavior, support small-group instruction, and contribute to a safe and engaging learning environment. Qualifications Associate degree preferred; college coursework in education or a related field is a plus. Prior experience working with children in an educational setting preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, administrators, and fellow staff members. Ability to supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students. Demonstrated ability to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of students both individually and in group settings. Ability to assist with classroom instruction, small-group activities, and student supervision. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with educational technology, including Google Workspace and iPad devices, preferred. First Aid and CPR certification a plus. Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in required meetings and trainings. Must possess a professional demeanor and adhere to school policies and dress code requirements. Must be supportive of and respectful toward the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Knowledge of the basic tenets of the Catholic faith preferred. Responsibilities Assist the classroom teacher with instructional activities, classroom management, and preparation of materials. Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning objectives. Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, dismissal, and other assigned duties. Help maintain a positive, organized, and engaging classroom environment. Support the implementation of school-wide policies and procedures. Assist with clerical and organizational tasks as needed. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, school events, and other activities as assigned. Foster positive relationships with students, families, faculty, and staff. Schedule Requirements Teaching Assistants work Monday-Friday from 7:30am-3:30pm are also required to assist with the supervision of the school's After School Care Program each school day from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional duties may be assigned based on school needs.
