Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and helping those with developmental disabilities thrive in an educational setting. This position is a 10 month contract and follows a traditional school schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the lead teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Assist students with classroom activities and assignments
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students who require additional help
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor student progress
  • Implement behavior management strategies as needed
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques
  • Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning
  • Ability to assist in classroom management and organization
  • Previous experience in childcare or educational settings is a plus
  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder or other educational methodologies is beneficial
