Job Description

The pay is $16.50 -17 per hour depending on experience and credentials . This role is onsite at our centre : 1118 W Oak Ridge Rd, Orlando, FL 32809 The Assistant VPK Teacher coordinates engaging developmental activities, implements curriculum that prepares children for school, and enhances their pre-reading, pre-math, language, and social skills. The Assistant Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Teacher serves as a model and mentor. In this role you'll have the opportunity to build a dynamic classroom environment, create fun-filled learning activities, and support the growth and success of children. Why You'll Love Working for

What You'll Do:
Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards Lead by example and encourage success through modeling and coaching Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth Follow all facility policies and state regulations Maintain a personal and professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement What We Need from

High school diploma / GED, or degree in related field of study required

You can retrieve the transcript from https://childcaretraining.myflfamilies.com/studentsite/admin/signin Willingness to complete VPK Endorsement within 60 days of hire Minimum of 1 year of professional early childhood education or experience Must clear a full level II background check Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed Effective in communicating with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns Oak Ridge Children's Academy & Day Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
