POSITION
OVERVIEW
Responsible for providing direct supervision and care for a group of children through a caring, positive, authoritative relationship. Makes children feel welcome and comfortable. Assists in the planning and implementing of scheduled period(s) of activities, which are developmentally appropriate and ensures the safety and well-being of the children as well as providing a model of quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepares and Implements a program of activities in accordance with agency curriculum for a group of children. Prepares lesson plans. Maintains attendance records for a designated group of children and Adheres to regular work and activity schedules. Establishes and maintains control and safety of an assigned group of children. Serves as an effective role model for the children by assisting children in a way that develops the child's role and initiative and Interacts in ways that help them learn. Assists children with feeding and bathroom needs i.e., changing diapers, helping child to restroom, feed child, etc. Maintains a positive and professional attitude with parents, children and staff at all times. Participates in parent contact and communication as assigned. Communicates the child's progress with parents in a positive and supportive manner.
SCREENING QUALIFICATIONS
CDA or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field. Bring ID documents (according to USCIS Guidelines see link below) and highest form of Education with you to the event! I-9
